Research

Stopping Out, Not Dropping Out

This article reports on a qualitative study of ten students who were interviewed several times about their perceptions and experiences of leaving a program.  For the most part, the students saw stopping out as the result of life circumstances and not as a personal failure. Researchers note some implications of this finding.
